We’ll master your track using the same equipment and techniques we apply to all of our paid projects. Within 2 days, you’ll receive a 1-2 minute sample of your track, so you can experience the quality we deliver.

We encourage you to compare our mastering sample with others from different mastering services to find the best fit for your project. If you love what you hear and decide to move forward, we’ll provide the full mastered track once we’ve received payment.

Important Notes About Free Mastering Sample:

Free mastering sample we provide is a fully finished master. If you’re happy with it, you can go ahead and purchase the full track as is, or request a revision after payment.

But if you decide to make changes to the mix after hearing the sample, we’ll need to remaster it from scratch—so a revision fee will apply on top of the regular mastering rate.

That’s why we recommend sending a final mix you’re confident in. If you’re unsure about anything, just reach out—we’re happy to offer tips to help your mix sound its best.

Frequently Asked Questions About Free Mastering Sample

How long does it take to receive my sample?

We usually deliver your free mastering sample within 2 business days after receiving your final mix. If there’s high demand or if we have follow-up questions about your track, we’ll reach out right away to keep you in the loop.

Is the sample really free?

Yes — 100% free, with no hidden fees or obligations. The sample is our way of showing you what we can do before you commit. If you like the result and want the full master, you can choose to proceed with payment.

How do I prepare my final mix for mastering sample?

Please export the final mix of your track in either WAV or AIFF format, with a minimum bit depth of 24 bits. If possible, using a 32-bit float setting without dithering the file would be even better. Maintain the original sample rate. For example, if the recording is done in a 48khz session, it is important to maintain that sample rate until mastering to avoid audio degradation.

Before uploading, check your final mix from start to finish to ensure that everything sounds good and there are no issues.

Should I leave my master-bus effects on?

Yes and no. If you’ve already started working on your mix with master bus effects, it’s important to be aware that you made all your mixing decisions according to those effects on your bus and removing them can drastically change the sound of your mix. In this case, it may be best to leave the master bus effects in place.

However, if you added master bus plugins after completing your mix, it’s likely that you were happy with the mix and only added the plugins to enhance the overall sound. If that’s the case, we recommend removing all the master bus plugins before sending us the mix.

If you are mixing for an artist who has only heard and approved a master bus compressed/limited version of the mix, we usually prefer mastering that version even though it might not be the ideal situation. If we were to master an unprocessed final mix, the changes may be too drastic for the artist who is used to hearing the processed version.

In any case, please provide both the processed and unprocessed versions of your mix, so we can make an informed decision.

What happens if I like the result?

The free mastering sample we provide is a fully finished master, just trimmed to 1–2 minutes. If you’re happy with the sound, you can simply purchase the full version as is. Need revisions? No problem — we’re happy to fine-tune the master after payment.
However, if you decide to make changes to your mix after hearing the sample, we’ll need to remaster the track from scratch, which means an additional revision fee on top of the standard mastering rate.

What if I don't like the result?

No worries — that’s exactly why we offer a free sample. If our mastering style isn’t the right fit for your project, there’s no pressure to continue, and you don’t even need to give us a reason. We genuinely want you to find the right sound and the right engineer for your music, even if that’s not us.

Can I name reference songs for free mastering sample?

If you have a reference track that showcases the sound you’re after, please feel free to mention the name of the song when filling out our upload form. That said, references are completely optional. If you don’t have any in mind, no problem — we’ll master your track based on its own unique character and genre standards.

What if I only have a previously mastered file?

If you only have a previously mastered file and no original mix, we can still work with it! However, please keep in mind that the quality of the final master will depend on the quality and dynamic headroom of the original mastered file. We’ll do our best to work with the mastered file, but overly compressed/limited masters may limit the range for further improvements.
